A.H. Kelley ‘Nomadic Executive Development’ (The Netherlands)
‘After coaching expatriate executives for 20+ years, it is
great to see such a thoughtful and useful guide for women accompanying
their partners on an international assignment. An excellent combination
of anecdotes, advice and strategies for its target group. This book
should be a must-read for all expatriate executives with partners and
the HR professionals who send them out.’
Stephanie L. Ward ‘Marketing Coach for Entrepreneurs’ (The
Netherlands)
‘Jeanne knows first hand to live your best life abroad –
she’s done it multiple times! She will show you how not only to
survive but to thrive in your new location. Take it from someone who
has been there, she covers it all in a supportive and compassionate
way.’
Jeanette Cerquone “Spouse Career Centre’ (Boston, USA)
‘Jeanne covers all relevant aspects to get ready before or
during a stay abroad with hands on guidance and leads you through every
step with a personal ‘work book’ at the end of each chapter.
As an amazing plus she will open the scene for aspects which are important
in everyone’s life and a resource no matter living ‘back
home’ or abroad.
J. Wraight ‘Jill Wraight Consulting’ (Singapore)
‘Jeanne has captured the key issues facing families relocating
their lives internationally. I highly recommend this book as a fantastic
resource to women and families on the move, it gives you a great sense
that you are not the only one who has been through all this and is very
supportive in the way it gives practical exercises to coach yourself.’
Jo Parfitt ‘Author of 26 books including ‘Career in your
suitcase’ (Den Haag, Netherlands)
‘This is one of the best books I have ever seen that helps
accompanying partners, expat wives, trailing spouses, call them what
you will, to create a life they love abroad.’
Book reviews
A review by dialogin member Kate Berardo, USA
When I was first given Living Your Best Life Abroad to review,
I will admit I was thinking, ‘not another book on transitioning
abroad.’ Then I read the book. I was pleasantly surprised.
Living Your Best Life Abroad is an innovative, effective guide to help women transition abroad in a meaningful and holistic fashion.
It was refreshingly different in its approach: practical rather
than theoretical, focused on maximizing the experience abroad rather
than simply surviving it, and filled with anecdotes and insight from
other women who have gone through a similar experience. It’s about
time we had this type of next generation book on adjusting abroad. Click
